In this programme, you will learn how to create and manage forests in sustainable and environmentally friendly ways. You will discover how the components of a forest

Programme content


Stage 1 includes a full range of core science subjects as well as an Introduction to Forestry elective module.

In Stage 2, you will go on to develop the necessary applied sciences and your forestry skills through modules in Silviculture (growing trees) and Forest Biometrics.

You will gain a greater understanding of forestry in Stage 3. The concluding stage places considerable emphasis on individual and group projects and these, rather than final examinations, form the major components of the credits towards your degree.

Entry Requirements


Passes in 6 recognised subjects with at least two subjects at Grade C or better in GCE A-Levels or equivalent, and at least four subjects at Grade C or better in GCE O-Levels or equivalent.
